Work Hours: Monday‑Friday 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., 235 days per year (Non‑exempt).

Position SummaryAssist in the general operations of the Full‑Time Instruction office/department and support MDTC Instructional Directors, Instructors and students. Duties include tracking and maintaining student attendance records, managing student work‑based learning processes and tracking student hours, organizing and supporting Career Tech Student Organization travel and activities, and other related instructional duties. Must have flexibility and the ability to handle simultaneous duties and projects in a timely manner as well as foster positive relationships with all staff and stakeholders.
QualificationRequirements
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word, and Google Workspace.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong telephone, in‑person, and electronic communication skills.
- Model professionalism through appearance, conduct, and attitude.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work with a team and contribute ideas and new processes.
- Ability to exercise confidentiality, good judgment, discretion, and effective decision‑making skills.
- Knowledge of Career Tech and Career Tech Student Organizations (preferred).
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to compose and write grammatically correct correspondence and memos.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, schedule form, or blueprint form.

Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Environment
Regular exposure to fumes or airborne particles; work in high, precarious places and outside weather conditions; near moving mechanical parts, extreme cold (including outdoors), extreme heat (including direct sunlight), risk of electrical shock and vibration. Noise level varies from somewhat loud to extremely loud. To ensure continuity of services, a different work location may be necessary in the event of a health crisis or disruptive situation that requires closing of school and/or office buildings.
The employee’s eligibility for a varied work location will be determined by the superintendent of schools based on role and responsibilities.
The employee may occasionally be required to supervise a varying number of employees in overall direction, coordination, and completion of tasks as assigned.
