You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM) and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those looking for a personalized work schedule.

As an On-Demand TM, you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but you will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via the myTime mobile scheduling app. Reliable and prompt attendance is necessary. Active engagement by picking up and working shifts once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours) is required.

If you do not respond to our contact attempts, employment may be terminated. If you do not work at least one shift within 5 months, your employment may be administratively terminated. Communication and ability to work when business demands are critical to success in this role. If offered a position, you will attend a Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term training schedule before using the myTime app to pick shifts.

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks.
• Engage with guests to assist with their needs and solve issues.
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to resolve guest concerns and improve their experience.
• Thank guests and communicate appreciation for their visit.
• Scan and bag guest items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with safety standards and best practices.
• Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy.
• Inform guests about current and upcoming brand launches, store activities, and events.
• Promote and assist with Target Loyalty programs; be familiar with fulfillment services and how to enroll, activate, and use them.
• Explain and demonstrate Wallet and other Target App features.
• Process returns following policy guidelines and escalate to leadership as needed to resolve guest concerns.
• De-escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Provide easy and accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests.
• Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and stock supplies during store hours.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; follow safety policies and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as order pickup, drive-up, drives, and related duties, including compliance with laws as required.
• Assist with Cash Office processes as needed, including cash systems management.
• All other duties based on business needs.

• Accurate cash handling and cash office support as needed.
• Ability to scan, handle, and move merchandise safely; ability to lift up to 10 pounds and up to 44 pounds with assistance as needed.
• Flexibility to pick up shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Active engagement by picking up and working shifts; failure to work within 5 months may lead to termination.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions (e.g., Drive-Up, carryout).
• Mobility required for the duration of scheduled shifts.
