Staff Accountant Opportunity

Robert Half is partnering with a well-established organization to add an experienced Staff Accountant to its accounting team for a long-term contract assignment. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on accounting work, a collaborative team environment and the chance to step in and make an immediate impact.

The Staff Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations, month-end activities and audit preparation while working closely with an established accounting team. Successful candidates will understand the fundamentals of accounting and able to independently work through journal entries and reconciliations.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and post journal entries
• Complete bank and general ledger reconciliations
• Assist with month-end accounting activities
• Post and process invoices and submit invoices through customer portals
• Support audit requests by pulling samples, gathering documentation and uploading supporting information
• Research discrepancies and work with internal departments to obtain necessary information
• Assist with additional accounting projects and day-to-day needs as they arise
• Work across multiple accounting systems during an ongoing system transition

Schedule & Assignment

This is a contract opportunity with an anticipated start in late October/early November. The position is expected to provide support through approximately March, with the opportunity to gain meaningful exposure to month-end close and audit-season activities.
