Safety Coordinator (3rd Shift) — Warehouse & Manufacturing
Shift: 3rd shift, 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Worksite: Onsite from Day 1
Overtime: OT available
Pay: $31.46 hourly
We’re seeking a Safety Coordinator to support the health and safety management system for a large Parts Division within USA distribution and manufacturing operations. You’ll spend up to 50% of your shift on the warehouse floor conducting safety observations, incident investigations, employee interviews, and training on safety procedures.
What you’ll do- Hazard reduction & process improvement: Participate in the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of processes that reduce workplace hazards.
- Investigations & ergonomics: Conduct incident investigations and ergonomic reviews; help determine effective corrective actions.
- Compliance documentation: Compile and analyze data, documentation, and correspondence to meet regulatory and management system requirements.
- Program recommendations: Develop recommendations to ensure health and safety programs meet internal standards and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- Recordkeeping: Manage and review safety records per OSHA guidelines and internal procedures.
- Audits & risk assessments: Coordinate audits and risk assessments to identify noncompliance with standards and regulations.
- CAPA management: Own corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes end?to?end.
- Pre?introduction reviews: Review new processes, equipment, and assets for potential hazards and regulatory compliance; recommend changes prior to introduction.
- Advisory & training: Respond to safety/health inquiries and develop, direct, and conduct safety presentations and training.
- Experience in warehousing or manufacturing with a strong, hands?on safety background.
- Proven experience developing and delivering safety training
. - Safety degree or very strong manufacturing safety experience.
- Strong skills in the MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to work 3rd shift and spend significant time on the warehouse floor.
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) accreditation.
- OSHA 10?hour or OSHA 30?hour training/certifications.
- Demonstrated experience in occupational safety
.
- Metatarsal protective footwear required on Day 1 (not reimbursable).
- Comfort with an active, industrial environment (walking/standing; navigating equipment areas).
- Impact frontline safety in high?volume distribution and manufacturing.
- Work cross?functionally to drive measurable improvements in safety performance.
- Overtime available for additional earning potential.
