Job Title

Safety Coordinator

Job Duration

12 months + (Possible Extension or Internal hire possibility)

Shift

3rd shift - 11:00 pm to 7:30 am

Pay Rate

HR. on W2 All Inclusive on SGS Payroll

Responsibilities
  • Conduct safety observations on the warehouse floor.
  • Conduct incident investigations, ergonomic reviews, and interview employees.
  • Provide training to individuals on safety procedures.
  • Participate in the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of processes to reduce workplace hazards.
  • Conduct incident investigations and ergonomic reviews; assist in determining effective corrective action.
  • Compile and analyze necessary data, documentation, and correspondence to comply with safety regulations and health and safety management system requirements.
  • Develop recommendations for health and safety processes/programs to meet standards and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Manage and review safety record‑keeping per OSHA guidelines and internal processes.
  • Coordinate safety audits and risk assessments to identify noncompliance with standards and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Manage corrective action and preventative action processes.
  • Review new processes, equipment, and assets for potential hazards and compliance; make recommendations prior to introduction.
  • Respond to questions and requests for information relevant to safety and health issues.
  • Develop, direct, and may conduct safety presentations and training.
Required Qualifications
  • Knowledge and experience in a warehousing or manufacturing environment with a strong safety background.
  • Knowledge and experience in developing and providing safety training.
  • Safety Degree and/or very strong manufacturing safety experience.
  • Strong skills in MS Office suite.
What Makes You Stand Out
  • Experience with occupational safety.
  • OSHA ten‑hour card or thirty‑hour experience.
  • Any certifications for OSHA training.
