Job Title: Engineering Technician
Location: Milan, IL (Onsite)
Assignment Length: 24 Months (As a W2 employee of Kelly
OCG)
Pay Rate: $28.00ph
Shift Information: 3rd shift; 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM, Monday–Friday

As an Engineering Technician in the Accelerated Design Verification (ADV) group, you will provide hands‑on support to technical projects through test setup, monitoring, inspection, and reporting according to defined test plans on third shift.
Primary Responsibilities- Assemble test rigs based on layout drawings and instructions, including mechanical assembly using hand tools and battery/air impact wrenches
- Use overhead cranes for rig setups
- Connect hydraulic plumbing and electrical control cables
- Perform work that involves bending, kneeling, and tasks at floor level
- Lift up to 25 lbs as required
- Document setup procedure and layout drawing changes for continuous improvement
- Monitor and adjust test controls to ensure efficient test operation
- Inspect test specimens and perform repairs as required by test parameters
- Document all test incidents and activities using a web-based application
- Communicate with appropriate personnel for safety, environmental, or test equipment/specimen issues, including emergency shutoff procedures
- Perform regular lab maintenance and cleaning (mopping, vacuuming, organizing, and putting away tools/equipment)
- Pick up parts and perform various errands as needed
- Experience working on machinery (tear down and repair), or a strong mechanical background
- Familiarity with Windows file/folder management
- Good computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to read and interpret dimensioned part drawings and test layout drawings
- Can work independently
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- Willingness to work 3rd shift and perform hands‑on technical and maintenance work
- Experience with servo-hydraulic or hydraulic systems (preferred but not required)
