Summary:

Join our team as a Material Coordinator and play a vital role in ensuring smooth production operations. This position focuses on coordinating material flow, managing inventory accuracy, and supporting the tactical execution of production plans. You will work closely with warehouse and production teams to maintain timely part availability, troubleshoot inventory issues, and implement new systems to optimize efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate material flow and Kanban replenishment within the department, including shipping and receiving activities.
• Ensure production personnel have required parts to meet schedule demands.
• Oversee inventory accuracy and timeliness; identify issues and recommend solutions.
• Utilize Master Schedule to create and distribute daily production schedules.
• Audit material replenishment cycles and assist in creating replenishment plans.
• Expedite parts and resolve inventory errors to prevent production delays.
• Direct activities of pickers to ensure accurate and timely order delivery.
• Track productivity metrics, report results, and recommend process improvements.
• Implement and support new SAP/EWM system integration into PDC.
• Address issues such as missing items, damaged goods, or system errors promptly.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail, timeliness, and excellent attendance.
• Exceptional data entry speed and accuracy with ability to focus for extended periods.
• Experience with inventory systems/tools; AS400 program knowledge highly beneficial.
• Ability to troubleshoot inventory issues and maintain operational continuity.
• Effective communication and people skills to manage a team of 50 employees on shift.
• Self‑motivated and willing to assist coworkers during downtime.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with warehouse management systems and mainframe/menu‑driven systems (DNS, WCS).
• Proficiency in Excel for occasional reporting and analysis.
• Previous experience in material coordination or logistics within a manufacturing environment.

Additional Details:

• Physical Requirements: Must have metatarsal safety shoes on day one; position requires standing for most of the shift.
• May require driving a John Deere‑owned Cushman on the shop floor (training provided).
• Will train as backup to cover all departmental duties.
