The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the accounting, reporting, and compliance activities of a portfolio of 8 Special Purpose Vehicles and for coordinating a team of 4 accounting professionals . This position offers significant exposure to real estate investment structures and the opportunity to work closely with senior management in a fast-paced and international environment.
Accounting & Reporting
Oversee the accounting and financial reporting activities of 8 SPVs.
Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
Review general ledger accounts, reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and intercompany transactions.
Coordinate the preparation of statutory financial statements and supporting schedules.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal procedures.
Tax & Regulatory Compliance
Coordinate tax compliance activities, including VAT, corporate income tax, and withholding tax requirements, with the support of external advisors.
Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations.
Support external audits and act as a key point of contact for auditors and consultants.
Team Coordination
Manage and coordinate a team of 4 accountants, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
Monitor workload allocation and ensure timely completion of all accounting activities.
Promote and contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes.
Stakeholder Management
Collaborate closely with Asset Management, Property Management, Treasury, and other internal functions.
Support the Finance Manager in responding to ad hoc requests from management and shareholders.
Liaise with banks, external consultants, service providers, and auditors.
Process Improvement
Identify and implement efficiencies in accounting and reporting processes.
Contribute to finance transformation and automation initiatives where appropriate.
Support special projects related to acquisitions, disposals, financing transactions, and corporate reorganizations.
Requisiti
Degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional qualification (e.g., Chartered Accountant) is considered a plus.
5-10 years of experience in accounting, audit, or finance functions.
Previous exposure to real estate, real estate funds, property companies, SPV structures, or asset-intensive businesses is preferred.
Proven experience coordinating or supervising junior team members.
Good english level.
Strong knowledge of Italian GAAP and statutory reporting requirements.
Good understanding of tax and compliance matters.
Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems.
Experience in complex legal entity and multi-company environments.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Proactive, hands‑on, and solution‑oriented approach.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
