Job Overview PV Project Manager – Italy (Milano, LOM, IT). This full‑time on‑site role offers great opportunities for career growth within GENERALE DU SOLAIRE, a French independent renewable electricity producer established in 2008.
Responsibilities Lead solar farm projects through tendering, pre‑construction and construction phases, acting as Owner’s Engineer/Project Manager.
Manage project budgets and schedules using MS Project or similar industry‑standard software.
Assess, review and report on project spend throughout the project.
Maintain project risk registers, action trackers, change logs, etc.
Manage GDS’s project team, typically including colleagues from project management, electrical engineering, civil engineering, site engineering and H&S safety departments.
Carry out and maintain a strong understanding of the Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) or Principal Designer (PD) role.
Prepare Employer’s Requirements and other technical documents for inclusion in construction contracts, including Solar EPC contract and Balance of Plant (BoP)/Independent Connection Provider (ICP) contracts.
Support the team with planning condition discharge.
Obtain relevant project consents, permits and licences such as CRU licence, road opening licences, felling licences, etc.
Liaise with distribution and transmission system operators regarding grid connection contracts and delivery on behalf of clients.
Negotiate EPC contract on behalf of clients, liaising with client’s project team, legal and financial advisors.
Administer construction contracts.
Manage construction meetings both on site and remotely.
Manage construction interfaces between contractors and other project stakeholders.
Qualifications Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
At least 2 years of experience managing construction projects of medium to large size (preferably in the energy sector).
Experience in contract, risk and procurement management.
Consolidated knowledge of a planning software (Project, Primavera, etc.).
Knowledge of HSE & quality management.
Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
Excellent communication skills and strong leadership.
Ability to work in multicultural teams.
Fluent in English and Italian (French is a plus).
