POSITION PURPOSE /h3 pTo create and maintain a positive, stimulating environment that promotes a culture of learning and fosters school readiness in the community. Establish objectives for all lessons. Assess family needs and provide developmentally appropriate information, guidance, and support to parents. /p h3

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS /h3 ul li Assist in planning, creating, and implementing a dynamic preschool classroom environment conductive to learning to support the physical, social, and emotional development of children and families. /li li Provide developmentally appropriate early childhood play‑based activities for children and families birth through 5 years to encourage curiosity, exploration, and problem‑solving. /li li Model appropriate parent‑child interaction and positive parenting techniques.

/li li Select materials and activities appropriate for the program. /li li Collaborate with team to develop lesson plans and share best practices to provide comprehensive services to the children and parents being served. /li li Assist in completing and maintaining all documentation and essential records as required by the program in a timely and comprehensive manner. /li li Represent the District's Traveling Preschool Bus program at community events supporting children and parents.

/li li Assist in coordinating and promoting site visit locations in the community. /li li Advocate for parents in accessing resources and support services as needed. /li li Assist with child developmental screenings. /li /ul h3

ADDITIONAL DUTIES /h3 pPerforms other related tasks as assigned by the Coordinator of Early Childhood, Chief Instructional Services Officer, Superintendent or other district office administrator as designated by the Superintendent. /p h3

QUALIFICATIONS /h3 ul li Associates Degree or College degree in early childhood education or a related field of study preferred. /li li Demonstrate an appropriate level of knowledge about what promotes optimal parent‑child interaction and birth–five child development. /li li Become qualified to administer developmental screenings. /li li60 college credit hours from an accredited college or university; OR /li li Satisfactory score on Educational Testing Service Para Pro Assessment.

/li li Valid Commercial Driver's License, Class B or higher (CDL) to operate a school bus. /li /ul h3

EXPERIENCE /h3 ul li Minimum of three years supervised experience working with young children and their parents. /li liTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications. /li /ul h3
