Role description
We are looking for a  Certification Specialist  to join our HQ team in Milan, within the Standard, Regulation & Certification function.
In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring that our products meet all regulatory requirements across global markets, supporting the entire certification lifecycle — from product definition to continuous regulatory updates.

Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Certification Coordinator, you will:
Work cross-functionally with  R&D, Quality, and Product Marketing  to embed regulatory requirements into product development
Define and manage  documentation requirements  for product and family certifications
Coordinate  laboratory testing and compliance assessments  with accredited external bodies
Build and maintain the  technical documentation package  (drawings, test reports, specifications)
Act as a key interface with  certification bodies, notified bodies, and regulatory authorities
Submit certification applications to relevant  Type Approval Authorities  (e.g., RDW, GSO, Inmetro)
Manage  annual renewals  and updates driven by regulatory evolution or market expansion
Participate in  European working groups , contributing to industry best practices
Drive continuous improvement in  compliance and certification processes

Requirements
Degree in  Engineering (Management or equivalent technical background)
Prior experience in  Automotive Certification  (vehicle or components is a plus)
Knowledge of key standards and regulations (e.g.,  ISO 9001, IATF 16949, UNECE )
Fluent English ( B2 or higher )
Strong attention to detail and  compliance mindset
Effective communication with both  technical and institutional stakeholders
Ability to  manage priorities autonomously  and solve problems
Team-oriented approach within  multidisciplinary environments
Familiarity with  technical documentation and engineering specifications
Knowledge of  testing and validation processes  is a plus
Proficiency with  MS Office, PLM, and document management systems
