Senior Hydrogeologist

Experteer Overview As a Senior Hydrogeologist at AECOM, you will lead groundwater investigations and remediation efforts at large sites, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. You’ll develop hydrogeological concepts and numerical models to inform design and monitoring plans, ensuring regulatory compliance and project success. The role centers on solving complex environmental challenges and delivering sustainable groundwater solutions for industrial and development sites.

You will mentor junior staff and liaise with clients and regulators to drive impactful outcomes.

Retribuzione / Benefits Design, plan, and supervise hydrogeological investigations (well installations, groundwater level surveys, sampling, aquifer testing)
Develop hydrogeological conceptual models and 3D Geological Models using digital tools and geostatistical software

Build numerical groundwater models using MODFLOW, FEFLOW, and other software

Contribute hydrogeological input to environmental assessments of proposed developments

Prepare proposals/workplans, manage budgets, schedules, and staffing for projects

Mentor junior staff and collaborate with environmental scientists, risk assessors, and project managers

Liaise with clients and regulators; travel as required

Responsabilità+5 years of related experience; preferably in a multinational company

Fluent in Italian and English Some fieldwork experience

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects

Strong communication and reporting skills; good records of site activities
