Role Description
As an experienced Business Manager for our Milan agency, you will act as a true intrapreneur responsible for developing and managing your business unit within the engineering consulting environment, ideally in IT.
Business Development
Build and develop your own client portfolio in the Industry and/or IT sector
Conduct phone prospecting and in-person client meetings
Understand client challenges and propose tailored consulting solutions
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
Promote Abylsen's three engagement models (technical assistance, service centre, work package)
Recruitment & Team Management
Work closely with the Talent Acquisition team to recruit top consulting engineers
Conduct interviews and select high‑potential consultants
Manage, support, and retain your team through active career follow‑up
Contribute to team engagement and performance
Profit Center Management & Coaching
Manage and optimise the profitability of your business unit
Monitor performance indicators and drive sustainable growth
Coach and develop a junior Business Engineer already in place
Support the future growth of the Milan team
You will join the Italian subsidiary (created in 2021) and report directly to the Country Director.

Profile
Required Qualifications
Master's degree (Engineering or Business School)
Fluent Italian and English (mandatory)
Proven experience as a Business Manager in engineering consulting, ideally in IT
Strong track record in business development and client acquisition
Experience managing consultants and ideally coaching junior Business Managers
Personal Skills
Strong sales mindset and hunter mentality
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Entrepreneurial spirit and results orientation
Leadership and team‑management capabilities
Ability to thrive in a fast‑growing, international environment
