Quality Control Engineer

Position: Quality Control Engineer Full Time Permanent
Energy Dome is a company with revolutionary technology for large scale and long duration energy storage.

Our proprietary technology is based on a thermodynamic process that uses CO2 to store electricity cost-effectively with unprecedented round-trip efficiencies. The simplicity of the process as well as the use of readily available off-the-shelf equipments opens the way for Energy Dome to quickly become an important player in the energy storage market.

Position
Quality Control Engineer with a solid understanding of industrial, power or chemical plant quality control principles, and a deep desire to be an active contributor in the energy transition industry. The Quality Control Engineer will report to the Quality Control Manager. Previous experience in QC Engineering roles within Engineering/Manufacturing site or similar industry, or experience in QC activity in a similar field, would be preferred.
Responsibilities

Creation, review and/or approval of Project Inspection and Test Plans, based on contractual requirement and internal standards.
Review and approval of preliminary vendor's procedures like welding book, NDE procedure, PWHT procedure, Hardness Test procedure, etc.
Review and approval of Inspection and Test Records including Final Manufacturing Record books (MRB), issuing Inspection Release Note ry out inspection activities directly (when needed) during the manufacturing progress as well as at final stage, by performing VDI and/or attending other inspection tasks like NDE, hydrostatic test, etc.
Provide QC support to all internal/external customers, by managing correspondence and keeping a good and productive relationship.
Ensure that Company QC Targets are reached.
Promote the Company culture as well as QHSE policy.
Promote a health, safe and environmentally responsible working environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience in welding, fabrication and standard NDE techniques.
Knowledge of major Codes for pressure Vessel (ASME/EN), Pressure Piping (ASME/EN), Structural Codes (ASCI/EN) and all major Directive/Code/Norms like PED Directive, Machinery Directive, EN1090+ISO
3834, AWS D1. European welding engineers or technologist (desirable).
Painting certification NACE or FROSIO (desirable).

Languages:

Italian + professional English are mandatory.
Willingness to travel in Italy and abroad is mandatory.
A genuine interest in clean technologies and energy transition.
Solid understanding of industrial, power or chemical plant quality control principles.
Previous experience in QC Engineering roles within Engineering/Manufacturing site or similar industry, or experience in QC activity in a similar field, would be preferred.

Location
This role is located in Milan's office, on site.
Compensation & Benefits
The role offers a gross annual salary between € in addition to a structured benefits package, commensurate with experience and seniority.
