Senior Hydraulic Engineer (Milan or Rome)
Full‑time position (100%).
Responsibilities
Conduct hydraulic studies for dams and hydropower plants, including analysis of spillway, intake, and outlet capacities, transient flow behaviour, and sediment management strategies.
Perform hydraulic design calculations to ensure compliance with relevant technical standards and project specifications.
Prepare tender documents for engineering services and construction works related to hydraulic and hydropower projects, both domestically and internationally.
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including engineering and modelling experts, to deliver high‑quality project outputs.
Undertake short‑ to medium‑term field assignments as required.
Requirements
Master’s degree in Civil or Hydraulic Engineering (PhD is an asset).
Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in hydraulic engineering on both domestic and international dam and hydropower projects.
Demonstrated experience in the design, planning, and construction supervision of dams.
Strong knowledge of international standards and guidelines for hydraulic design (e.g., ICOLD, US ) and familiarity with advanced tools and methodologies.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Italian and English; proficiency in French is considered an asset.
