The opportunity
We are looking for a passionate and proficient industrial specialist with expertise in power system analysis/management and high‑level programming. In an inter‑disciplinary environment you will drive cutting‑edge innovation for complex power grid applications and contribute to a sustainable energy future.

How You’ll Make An Impact

Design innovative approaches for grid operation and deliver them as robust software modules.

Translate real power‑system problems into rigorous models and final solutions for customers.

Collaborate with a global, inter‑disciplinary team of researchers and engineers from concept to production.

Build relationships within the company and actively share knowledge and expertise, interacting with local and global partners such as universities, start‑ups, and vendors.

Clearly communicate concepts to software developers, implementation engineering teams, and customers; produce design docs and developer‑facing examples or notebooks that enable reuse.

Your background

Master’s degree in Electrical/Power Systems Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent industry experience.

Proven expertise in modelling and steady‑state analysis of power grids with hands‑on software development experience.

Knowledge of mathematical optimisation for power systems and modern numerical solvers (e.g., MIP/NLP, stochastic; Gurobi, CPLEX, Ipopt).

Experience with machine learning or AI technologies is a plus.

Proficiency in C#, C++, Rust or a similar high‑level language;
Python or Matlab for analytics and prototyping is a plus.

Experience with state‑of‑the‑art software engineering techniques – version control, code reviews, testing, CI/CD – and integration of solution algorithms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). High‑performance computing skills such as parallel/distributed computing, GPU, OpenMP or MPI are beneficial.

Excellent communication skills in English, a team‑player attitude, initiative and creativity.
