Engineering Leader Reporting to the Director of Project Execution, the candidate will coordinate a multidisciplinary Engineering Team across EP/EPC projects in the field of Anaerobic Digestion Technologies. These projects are aimed at converting organic waste into renewable energy, fertilizers, and clean water, contributing to the development of circular economy and Waste-to-Energy solutions.
Main responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the assignment of tasks to each Engineer based on workload, knowledge, and competencies, ensuring full respect for contractual time frames, costs, and quality of execution;
Ensure flawless interaction among Engineering disciplines, drastically reducing "grey areas" between them and stakeholders;
Empower Project Engineers as the primary accountable figures for overall project-related engineering coordination;
Increase accountability at every organizational level;
Determine outsourcing needs, deciding if and to whom to outsource engineering tasks while prioritizing delivery time and quality;
Oversee resource planning (both internal and outsourced), focusing on stable workload and team utilization to prevent idle time, overlaps, redundancies, emergencies, and budget overruns;
Provide regular reporting to the Director of Project Execution;
Collaborate closely with the Site & Commissioning Leader to minimize gaps between Engineering and Construction Site tasks;
Coordinate with the Application Engineering Department, providing specialist support to assess technical feasibility and risks related to BoP (Balance of Plant) packages;
Promote a proactive working environment, preventing and managing conflicts effectively.
Requirements:
Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, Chemical Engineering, or an equivalent technical field;
At least
10 years of experience in engineering for industrial plants, with strong exposure to EP/EPC/EPCM models;
Preferred experience in anaerobic digestion, biogas, renewable natural gas (RNG), wastewater treatment, and/or organic waste processing.
