Join PPG’s Industrial Coatings and Colour Technology environment, where science, automation, and innovation come together to deliver consistent, high-performance finishes. Our teams optimise colour processes and production systems that keep industries moving, ensuring quality, efficiency, and sustainability Role As a Color Process Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in optimising automated colour processes within our laboratory and production environment.
This is an exciting opportunity to combine engineering, data analysis, and problem-solving to enhance operational performance and product quality. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, drive continuous improvement, and build a strong foundation for career growth in process automation and advanced manufacturing.
What You’ll Be Doing as a Color Process Automation Engineer:
You will optimise automated plant performance to maximise productivity and minimise downtime
Identify root causes of failures and implement sustainable corrective actions
Analyse and interpret process data to drive efficiency and quality improvements
Collaborate with production, maintenance, and colour teams to prioritise workflow
Update and improve operational procedures to enhance performance and consistency
Support innovation initiatives to advance automation and process reliability
What We’re Looking For in a Color Process Automation Engineer:
Master’s degree in Chemical, Automation, or Mechanical Engineering Brief experience within a production or manufacturing environment
Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage complex workflows and competing priorities
Confident communicator with strong teamwork and independent working skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent English language skills
What we offer
Classification as an employee at level (between level D1 and level C2) of the National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL) for the Chemical-Pharmaceutical Industry, gross annual salary (RAL) between 36,273.30 and 41,000.00 + company canteen.
