Function

Project Scope of Work

Located proximity 20 km to the east of the Gulf line and approximately 12 km Southwest of the existing Safaniyah GOSP-1 facility, the objective of this Budget Item is to provide water supply from three (3) sources; the existing Safaniyah GOSP-1, the new Zuluf AH Central Processing Facility (CPF), and Jaladi aquifer water for the purpose of treatment and injection. The facility will process 1,400

MBCD of water for injection to cover the production forecast up to 2035; to ultimately maintain the existing Safaniyah Field’s Maximum Sustainable Capability (MSC). In addition, the scope will expand water facilities in Safaniyah GOSP-1 to accommodate the surplus produced water that exceeds the overall existing formation water system capacity up to year 2035

Job Purpose
Responsible for reviewing vendor technical evaluation and deviation list from company standards for rotating equipment such as compressors, pumps and gas turbines.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Review rotating equipment datasheets and supporting documentation.

Responsible to participate in the technical clarification meeting with vendors.

Design and implement cost-effective equipment modifications to help improve safety, reliability and throughput.

Develop a project specification with colleagues, often including those from other engineering disciplines.

Develop, test and evaluate theoretical designs.

Discuss and solve complex problems with manufacturing departments, sub-contractors, suppliers and customers

Manage projects using engineering principles and techniques.

Plan and design new production processes.

Produce details of specifications and outline designs.

Recommend modifications following prototype test results.

Use research, analytical, conceptual and planning skills, particularly mathematical modeling and computer-aided design.

Consider the implications of issues such as cost, safety and time constraints.

Monitor and commission plant and systems.

Requirements

Minimum 20 or more years of experience i

Developing corrosion management programs.

Developing corrosion monitoring systems and experience in on-stream inspections(OSI) and In-line inspections (ILI).

Risk-based inspection (RBI) based on API-580 methodology.

Developing coating plans, solutions for coating failures and cathodic protection plan.

Aramco’s APCS coating systems, applications, and limitations.

Developing corrosion controls, corrosion loops, and damage mechanisms.

Performing corrosion risk assessments, experience with various inhibition chemicals and performances including ILSS.

Evaluate and conclusions from Corrosion Monitoring System data.

Experience in troubleshooting corrosion issues by RCFA (Rood cause failure analysis).

Well experienced in developing and updating Corrosion Control Documents (CCDs) across Project lifecycle.

Reviewing existing inspection program reports and ability to recommend corrosion monitor methods.

Developing and implementing corrosion control and mitigation strategies for in-plant assets and pipelines.

Conducting corrosion surveys to identify high-risk areas and having recommended corrective actions.

Developing dashboards including Integrity Operating Window (IOWs) and KPIs.

Perform Management of Change (MOC) related to metallurgy and corrosion management.

Participating in discipline technical bid evaluation and post PO manufacturer’s document review process.

Reviewing detailed design vendor packages for new/existing facilities on metallurgy and corrosion management.

Familiar and experience with Aramco Standards, Practices and Procedures

Preferrable having NACE Specialist Certification, NACE Corrosion Technologist, API-571, and NACE CP level II.

Deep working knowledge of API-571, API-579, API-580, API-570, and API-510.

Active affiliation with professional societies like IMechE, ASME, API, ISO, NACE, TWI is highly desirable.
