Accessibility Expert

Experteer Overview As Accessibility Expert at ING, you will lead accessibility across the digital landscape (web, app, chat, PDFs) and act as the central contact for all accessibility initiatives. You will shift the organization from reactive fixes to proactive, high‑quality inclusive experiences for all users. You’ll shape governance, monitor compliance, and embed accessibility into business, design, and testing requirements, partnering with cross‑functional teams to drive measurable impact.

This role combines strategic influence with hands‑on delivery in a hybrid Milan setting.

Retribuzione / Benefits Strategy and Governance: set accessibility scope for projects, research business case, develop policies, and establish monitoring and accountability timelines; ensure accessibility requirements are integrated into business, design, QA, and test cases

Compliance and Requirements: identify applicable standards (EN301549), assess legal impact with corporate resources, manage PR implications of non‑compliance

Project and Resource Management: define budgets, allocate tools/trainings/personnel, assign accessibility roles, assess and enhance team skills, involve accessibility experts or disabled team members

Continuous Improvement and Training: communicate with stakeholders for feedback, conduct post‑fix debriefings, train managers/designers/engineers/QA, improve accessibility integration across processes

ResponsabilitàExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to drive cultural change

Experience managing complex programs or projects in technology or software development

Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.0 Level AA and web accessibility guidelines

Ability to assess team experience and determine training needs
