Come build the future of entertainment with us. Are you interested in shaping the future of movies and television? Do you want to define the next generation of how and what Amazon customers are watching?
Prime Video is a premium streaming service that offers customers a vast collection of TV shows and movies — all with the ease of finding what they love to watch in one place.
We are seeking a skilled Language Specialist to join our team in the Tokyo Office on a 12‑month contract basis, with a focus on the Spanish (Latin America) language. In this role, you will review language assets' logic and coherence, grammar and punctuation, spelling, consistency, style, language usage, and formatting, improving customer streaming experience with Amazon language solutions. Tasks may include proofreading and editing subtitles, metadata, and a variety of other written communications.
IMPORTANT:
This is not a remote position; you are required to work on site. Open to native Latin American Spanish‑speaking applicants expected to work from the Tokyo Office.
Employment Period:
Fixed‑term (12 months or longer). Contract Renewal:
May be renewed (decision will be based on workload at contract expiration, work performance, attitude, capabilities, attendance, compliance with work rules, health condition, company’s business situation, and other circumstances that may affect the renewal decision). Maximum Total Employment Period:
Yes (even if the contract is renewed, the employment period will be limited to the end of the month prior to the 5‑year mark from the employment start date, unless the 5‑year date falls on the last day of a month, in which case that day will be the limit; note this provision does not guarantee employment for 5 years).
