Fast Forward Foundation ETS ((Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).) is  seeking a Project Manager  to join its young and agile team based in Milan. This position offers the  opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the Foundation’s development and help strengthen its work in advancing integrated welfare systems across Europe .

About the Foundation
Founded in 2004 by BFF Banking Group, Fast Forward Foundation (FFF) initially supported projects in healthcare and culture, reflecting a commitment to research, education, and social impact.  In recent years, FFF has refocused its mission on welfare system transformation - connecting health, social protection, and financial inclusion, with digital innovation as a key enabler - what FFF refers to as integrated welfare.  

This evolution responds to the increasing complexity of European welfare systems and the need for coordinated, people-centered approaches. FFF currently manages several pilot projects and is developing new initiatives to advance welfare system transformation. This is an exciting time to join, as FFF is also in the process of renewing its strategic plan, offering the opportunity to contribute to shaping future directions and priorities.

About the role
The Project Manager will  coordinate and contribute strategically to FFF’s pilot projects . The role combines  project management, stakeholder engagement, and strategic coordination, supporting FFF’s mission to design, test, and promote new approaches that improve the coordination and effectiveness of welfare systems . This position is ideal for a motivated professional who enjoys working in a small, evolving organization and can balance structured project delivery with curiosity for broader policy and advocacy dimensions.

Key responsibilities

Coordinate the planning and delivery of pilot projects, ensuring all stages are well structured and aligned with objectives and timelines.

Use project management tools (such as Planner, gantt) to monitor progress and facilitate coordination across activities and team members.

Collaborate with colleagues and internal and external partners to ensure effective execution and alignment with project goals.

Stay informed of policy and sector developments related to welfare transformation to help position FFF’s work within broader national and international discussions.

Contribute to FFF’s advocacy and communication activities, ensuring that materials are accurate and clearly written.

Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials in English using Microsoft Office and analytical tools.

Essential qualifications and skills

Master’s degree in social sciences, management, political science, public health, economics, or related disciplines (multidisciplinary backgrounds are strongly valued).

At least four years of professional experience in project management or coordination roles.

Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and synthesis skills, with attention to detail.

Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.

Excellent command of Italian, both written and spoken.

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and write clearly, including the capacity to draft impactful written materials such as articles or op‑eds.

Teamwork, adaptability, and proactive attitude.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Power Point.

Experience in stakeholder engagement, advocacy, or communication in non‑profit or policy settings.

Experience in the field of digital payments.

Experience or knowledge of EU and/or international policy and advocacy processes, preferably related to welfare, health, or social protection systems, and familiarity with global development frameworks such as the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Duration and start date

The position is expected to start in January 2026.

The exact start and end dates will be confirmed during the recruitment process.
