Exide is seeking a  Production Supervisor  to join its manufacturing team and support daily operations within the production department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient production process, meeting quality, safety, cost, and delivery targets. This role is a key link between the Production Manager and the shopfloor workforce, driving operational excellence, continuous improvement initiatives, and employee engagement while guaranteeing compliance with company standards and procedures.
Main Tasks
Supervise and coordinate production operators during shifts, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Plan and organize daily, weekly, and monthly production activities to ensure customer requirements and production targets are achieved.
Monitor production KPIs and analyze performance data to identify improvement opportunities and drive corrective actions.
Ensure the availability and accuracy of raw materials in production and coordinate raw material orders when required.
Collaborate closely with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to ensure efficient production processes and prompt resolution of operational issues.
Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives, Lean Manufacturing activities, and 5S implementation within the production area.
Participate in production-related projects, equipment improvements, and investment activities aimed at increasing efficiency, quality, and safety.
Ensure compliance with EHS policies and promote a strong safety culture within the production team.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive and corrective actions to improve operational performance.
Monitor scrap levels, lead variance, production efficiency, and other operational metrics through regular reporting activities.
Participate in physical inventories and support stock accuracy initiatives.
Contribute to maintaining the highest level of product quality and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
Degree in Engineering or any technical field
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within automotive or high-volume production industries.
Strong knowledge of production processes, industrial equipment, and manufacturing operations.
Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
Good knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Excel; familiarity with ERP and manufacturing systems is considered an advantage.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, including root cause analysis methodologies.
Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities in a dynamic production environment.
Proactive mindset with a continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing approach.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact across different organizational levels. xjncmbx
