Software Engineer – Modern C++

Overview
A Software Engineer – C++ is sought by this leading satellite systems organisation to be based at their R+D Centre in Milan. The Software Engineer – C++ will be responsible for developing software at all levels under Linux and also microcontroller level in C++.

Responsibilities
Working closely with the hardware team the Software Engineer – C++ will work with a variety of network protocols including TCP/UDP, I2C, UART and others. The Software Engineer – C++ will also have the opportunity to assist in some kernel modification and customisation.

Qualifications
Having completed your technical education, you will have gained several years of experience developing software under Linux and at microcontroller/microprocessor level (AMD, ARM, SoC). You will have strong Modern C++ programming skills coupled with an excellent knowledge of Linux based systems (GCC, CMake, gdb, etc.) and multiple Linux distros (Peta Linux, Yocto, Open Embedded etc.). Any exposure to TCP/UDP, I2C, SPI, UART etc.
