Senior Full Stack Engineer

Overview
La posizione è aperta all’interno del team di Generali Italia. Generali AI Software Engineering & Agentic Development is building next-generation SaaS products that leverage agentic coding and AI-assisted development. We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to architect and own entire product verticals across backend, frontend, and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement backend services in Python (FastAPI), including data models, business logic, and integrations with AWS infrastructure.
Build and maintain React frontends with Tailwind CSS, ensuring quality, performance, and usability.
Lead system design decisions: define service boundaries, API contracts, data flows, and infrastructure topology.
Integrate AI and agentic components into the platform, leveraging tools like Claude Code to accelerate development velocity.
Proactively surface technical risks, propose mitigation strategies, and drive resolution, operating with a founder-level sense of ownership.

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent demonstrable expertise.
6+ years of full stack engineering experience with genuine depth across backend and frontend — not just surface familiarity.
Strong Python backend skills: REST API design, async patterns, ORM, testing, and production operations.
Solid React and Type Script proficiency with Tailwind CSS; ability to own the frontend stack independently.
AWS fluency:
Lambda, ECS, RDS/Aurora, S3, SQS, Cloud Front — comfortable with IaC (Terraform or CDK).

Experience with agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Git Hub Copilot, Cursor) is a strong plus — familiarity with AI-native development workflows highly valued.
Italian C2 plus English at least B2 proficiency.

extreme ownership and proactivity; engineering rigor with strong opinions on code quality, testing, observability, and documentation.
