We’re working with a true leader in research, development, and innovation, and we are looking for highly experienced engineers (Expert level) with experience in Linux Kernel development/OS Development.
This global technology powerhouse invests heavily into R&D to make huge technological advancements in various sectors and is considered a top global employer with one of the largest patent portfolios in the world.
For this role, you will be the expert engineer, designing and optimizing Linux kernel and OS components, designing and implementing software solutions for next‑generation cockpits and autonomous driving systems, performing low‑level tuning and tasks such as CPU, GPU, etc., and also optimizing embedded AI applications. As an expert, you will also be mentoring others and driving the projects forward.
This is a full‑time, permanent position and pay will be base salary plus bonus, amount depending on experience level.
The position is usually based on site in Pisa, Italy, however, we are also open to you working from the Milan office for the majority of the month with a visit once a month to Pisa for a few days. It will still be an on‑site position.
Budgets are between €90,000–€110,000 base + bonus.
Requirements

Must have a minimum of a Master’s degree
Around 10+ years of experience

Experience with Linux development / Linux Kernel and/or Linux Drivers

Experience with C or C++ and developing new features

Experience with low‑level optimization for embedded systems
Automotive software development / architecture design experience
