Software Engineer - Backend

Experteer Overview In this role you join Moneyfarm as a Scala engineer within a cross‑functional team to help scale and evolve our architecture for rapid customer growth. You will become the go‑to backend developer, delivering high‑quality code while managing technical debt and learning new technologies. You will collaborate to improve pipelines, platforms, and system design, aligning with an agile, product‑engineering mindset.

Responsabilità3+ years of commercial software engineering experience

Mandatory Scala experience

Previous exposure to fintech or wealth management industry

Experience with cloud providers, Docker orchestration, and event streaming systems (AWS, Kafka, Kubernetes) is a plus

Experience with Git and code reviews

Understanding of microservices and API styles/integration patterns

Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and Gitlab CIStrong focus on testing and attention to detail

Understanding of Agile methodologies

Experience with regulated sectors and/or financial systems

English communication skills (Italian nice to have)
