Data Engineer & AI Platforms Senior Associate

Experteer Overview  In this role you design and evolve the Data & AI Platform to enable scalable, production‑grade data and AI solutions. You work at the intersection of Data, Platform, and AI Enablement, partnering with Data Scientists and business stakeholders to industrialize AI and support data‑driven decisions. You drive platform roadmaps, governance, observability, and Fin Ops‑driven optimization to deliver measurable business value ribuzione / Benefits   Design, develop and evolve the core components of the Data & AI Platform with scalable, reliable foundation for analytics, predictive AI and Generative AI use cases
Build and oversee robust data pipelines with engineering best practices, including data quality, observability and governance by design
Contribute to platform roadmap and long-term architecture strategy by assessing tech opportunities
Industrialize predictive and Generative AI solutions in collaboration with Data Scientists into production‑ready assets
Create standards, engineering frameworks and reusable components to accelerate delivery across the ecosystem
Champion data governance across the platform with metadata management, cataloging, lineage, taxonomy and governance processes
Develop and enhance Data & AI observability capabilities (monitoring, alerting, data quality, lineage)
Optimize platform performance, scalability and cloud consumption following Fin Ops best practices
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, data‑driven and AI‑powered solutions
Enable adoption of Data & AI capabilities with self‑service services, accelerators and reusable solutions
Responsabilità   Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field
8+ years in Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering or similar roles
Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
Solid background in software engineering and scalable systems design
Experience designing and operating data pipelines, ETL/ELT frameworks and enterprise‑scale data platforms
Knowledge of data analysis, modeling, data lakehouse and data warehousing architectures

Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and Dev Ops (Terraform, Git Hub, CI/CD)
Hands‑on knowledge of cloud (storage, compute, networking, identity), AWS preferred
Experience defining architecture standards, engineering best practices and reusable frameworks
Experience deploying and operating Data & AI solutions in production
Excellent problem‑solving and stakeholder management skills
Fluent in Italian and English
