Special Operations Licensed Clinical Social Worker (352 SOW / Mildenhall, UK)

Special Operations Licensed Clinical Social Worker will join the operational unit as a Behavioral Health Care Provider and is responsible for integrating the physical, mental and psychological wellness of service members and their families. This role applies social work procedures and techniques, including interviewing, behavioral assessment, and evidence-based therapies, in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating psychological and neuropsychological disorders using individual, family, and group psychotherapy, couple's therapy, alcohol and drug treatment evaluations.

• Engage in quality improvement and staff meetings, conferences
• Conduct applied research and clinical investigations in clinical/behavioral health/organizational social work.
• Consult with medical personnel, legal authorities, military commanders and school districts as required.
• Maintain accurate medical records of all patients seen and produce reports of evaluation and/or treatment.
• Participate in military specific training; may include clinical supervision of unlicensed providers or trainees.
• Perform duties such as: completing required DoD or service training; contacting referred patients to assess treatment adherence; using validated symptom inventories; assessing barriers to treatment adherence; providing patient education; maintaining patient registry; maintaining accurate notes in e‑medical records; staffing difficult cases with the referring provider, behavioral health consultant and/or psychiatry consultant; performing case management functions.

• U.S. Citizenship.
• Secret Clearance or Top Secret Clearance, or ability to obtain a clearance.
• Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) or equivalent fully accredited by CSWE.
• Current, unrestricted clinical license in one of the 50 states, DC, PR, or USVI.
• Credentialing requirements in good standing at a local MTF.
• Minimum two years of independent clinical social work in a mental health setting within the past five years.
• Knowledge of professional standards and ethics regarding delivery of clinical social work services.
• Experience in brief behavioral interventions.
• May be required to receive and maintain clinical practice privileges.
• Fluent oral and written communication skills in English.
• Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) by the American Heart Association.

• Experience working in a government setting such as DoD or VA MTF.
• Prior military and/or SOF experience highly desired.

• Compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental plan, policies and procedures.
• Compliance with Quality Assurance plan, policies and procedures.
• Maintain regular and acceptable attendance.
• Completion of all required training.
• Perform other assignments and duties as required.
