Position: Kitting / Packing Operative
Kitting Operator (Mildenhall)

We are excited to be recruiting on behalf of our client, a well‑established manufacturing business based in Mildenhall, who are seeking a Kitting Operator to join their Kitting Department.

Mildenhall

Hours:

Monday-Wednesday 7am-5pm, Thursday 7am-4:30pm (37.5 hours)

Contract:

Temporary, starting ASAP

About the Role

As a Kitting Operator, you will play a crucial role in supporting production by preparing accurate component kits. Working at your own dedicated workbench, you will carefully count, label, and assemble small parts according to printed works orders.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands‑on, detail‑focused work and has strong concentration and dexterity.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately count and prepare components into bags, boxes, and assembly kits
Label items in line with printed works orders
Use light hand tools and bench‑top equipment (training provided)
Complete all documentation accurately for traceability
Liaise with the Team Leader and Planning Department to resolve discrepancies
Interpret drawings and check printed artwork
Maintain a clean and organised workbench
Support stock counts and audits
Occasionally lift boxes up to 25kgSkills & Experience Required

Excellent attention to detail
Comfortable working with small components
Strong numerical skills
Good dexterity and fine‑motor coordination
Willingness to learn new tools and processes
Ability to prioritise tasks and follow workflow
Basic computer literacy
