We are currently recruiting for a Toolmaker to join the Tool Repair Department of a well-established and innovative engineering company. This department plays a vital role in supporting production by maintaining, repairing, and manufacturing high-precision tooling and machine components.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Toolmaker or precision machinist seeking to grow and develop further in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Following full on-the-job training, you’ll be involved in:

* Diagnosing faults and performing repairs on a wide variety of precision tooling.

* Operating manual milling machines, lathes, and surface grinders to tight tolerances.

* Reading and interpreting technical drawings accurately.

* Working closely with the production team to provide essential tooling support.

* Suggesting improvements to tooling design and manufacturing processes.

What We’re Looking For:

The ideal candidate will have:

* Proven experience as a Toolmaker or precision machinist in a production environment.

* Strong knowledge of toolroom machinery and practices.

* Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work to deadlines.

* A commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

* The discipline to work independently as well as part of a supportive team.
