We’re looking for a Dispatch Operative to join a busy warehouse team in Mildenhall. You’ll be responsible for picking, checking and preparing customer and branch orders for dispatch, handling heavy plumbing and building materials, and loading and unloading delivery vehicles using a counterbalance forklift.

What you'll be doing
* Picking, checking and preparing customer and branch orders for dispatch
* Carrying out regular heavy lifting and manual handling of plumbing and building materials
* Loading and unloading delivery vehicles using a counterbalance forklift
* Operating the forklift safely and in accordance with company and health and safety procedures
* Ensuring goods are securely packed and correctly labelled
* Completing dispatch paperwork and maintaining accurate records
* Carrying out daily forklift safety checks and reporting any defects
* Maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse and yard
* Working as part of a team to meet delivery schedules and dispatch deadlines
What we're looking for
* Previous warehouse or dispatch experience
* Experience operating a counterbalance forklift
* Good attention to detail when picking and checking orders
* Comfortable with heavy lifting and manual handling
* Understanding of workplace health and safety procedures
* Reliable, hardworking and punctual
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
What's on offer
* Monday–Thursday, 6:30am–3:30pm
* Friday, 6:30am–1:00pm
* One 30-minute break and two 15-minute breaks per day
* A varied, hands-on role within a busy warehouse environment
