Registered Nurse Intensive Care Unit

Base pay: $34.00/hr - $51.00/hr

The Intensive Care Unit at Holy Rosary is a 5‑bed ICU. Expanded services include tele‑critical care with Intermountain Intensivists to provide 24/7 critical care and oversight and participation as part of a Level 4 trauma team.

• Evaluates health status through the ongoing collection and assessment of health data.
• Performs health teaching and health counseling.
• Provides therapy and treatment that is supportive and restorative to life and well‑being either directly to the patient or indirectly through consultation with, delegation to, supervision of, or teaching of others.
• Executes delegated medical functions.
• Refers patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment.
• Reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans.
• Documents in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
• Uses resources as needed.

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
• Nurses with an ASN degree hired after July 01, 2020 must obtain a BSN within five (5) years of employment when hired into an Acute Care or Residential Living position. Failure to obtain the BSN may result in a review process that could include an extension, reassignment, or termination.
• Nurses with at least ten (10) years of proven Registered Nurse experience in an acute or long‑term care setting, or nurses hired before July 01, 2020, are exempt from the BSN requirement.
• Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS‑HCP) certification upon hire.
• ACLS certification within six months of hire.
• PALS certification within one year of hire.

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Certification relevant to the unit or service is preferred.

Ongoing need to see and read information, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and communicate verbally and respond to alarms quickly during emergencies. Requires manual dexterity for handling complex equipment, frequent computer use and typing, lifting and transferring patients, bending to retrieve and carry supplies, and walking or standing for extended periods.
