Location:

This role is based in Milford Haven.

The team work on a two week on/off rotation with a requirement to be based on board during your two weeks on.

• Operational Excellence:
  Ensure all machinery on board is in top condition and operate it during vessel operations.
• Safety First:
  Maintain the safe operation of vessels, engines, generators, and associated machinery.
• Meticulous Maintenance:
  Keep all machinery (deck and engine) up to operational standards at all times.
• Ownership and Cleanliness:
  Take pride in the vessel's machinery spaces, ensuring they are clean, tidy, and hazard-free.
• Proactive Reporting:
  Communicate any breakdowns or faults to the Master and Superintendent Engineer, coordinating repairs efficiently.
• Routine Upkeep:
  Perform routine maintenance and ensure the Planned Maintenance System is executed flawlessly.
• Resource Management:
  Maintain adequate supplies of lube oils and bunkers for continuous operations.
• Health & Safety Compliance:
  Conduct regular checks and address or report any issues promptly.
• Regulatory Adherence:
  Follow all company, MCA, and external body guidelines, keeping paperwork accurate and up-to-date.
• Team Leadership:
  Supervise and train engineering staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment.
• Survey Coordination:
  Assist in dry-docking and survey planning, ensuring timely and orderly completion of all work.
• Defect Management:
  Advise the Master on defects, maintain a defect log, and prioritize repairs with the Superintendent.
