Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Schedule:
Monday: 8am to 4pm
Thursday: 8am to 4pm
Friday: 8am to 4pm
Job description:
- Provide on the job training for individuals in the program according to their vocational goals.
- Provides job readiness training and social skills training for individuals who are not yet employed or who are employed but need additional support.
- Document individual progress and prepare appropriate reports.
- Develop effective job coaching and employment plans.
- Assist clients to discover and overcome their personal barriers and set goals.
- Assess the strengths of individuals and teach them to use them effectively.
- Help in the development of motivation and skills.
- Monitor and evaluate progress of clients.
Job Specification
- Proven experience as a job coach
- Experience in developing employment plans.
- High school diploma/ GED/ relevant college or university diploma.
- Must have a valid MD driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Successful clearance of state and/or federal background checks.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid certification on all DDA mandated trainings including CMT, CPR/First Aid and blood borne pathogens.
- Experience in working with people with disabilities.
- Available Monday, Thursdays and Fridays.
- Experience in employment support services or community development programs will be an added advantage.
- Ability to operate successfully in a team environment.
- Ability to lift, push or carry up to 35 lbs; and can climb, kneel, run and crouch as needed.
