A typical day involves providing leadership over three H&R Block tax offices, guiding customer-centric teams to accelerate seasonal tax business, and delivering an outstanding client experience while achieving office growth objectives. Prior tax preparation experience is not required. You will start with a flexible part-time schedule in the fall and transition to full-time from January to April, including evenings and weekends as needed.

This role is in-person and not remote.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership over three H&R Block tax offices and lead the customer-centric teams to accelerate seasonal tax business.
  • Serve as the front-line manager responsible for leadership and development of associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving all office-related growth objectives for three offices.
  • Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates.
  • Create associate work schedules across all offices and ensure accurate timekeeping and labor management; travel between offices as required.
  • Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans and client growth targets, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement.
  • Assist DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions; conduct timely performance reviews and address performance concerns with support from the Associate Relations Center.
  • Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment.
What you will bring / Qualifications
  • People management experience with the ability to grow and develop associates.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute growth plans and lead toward a growth culture.
  • Strong decision-making and judgment skills in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or high school diploma with equivalent experience.
  • Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).
Working Arrangements

You will start a flexible part-time schedule in the fall to prepare for the busy tax season. From January to April, you will transition to full-time, including evening and weekend hours as needed.

Please note that this role is not remote and will require you to work in-person.
