Responsibilities- Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed customers’ expectations
- Increase production capacity and flexibility while controlling costs and maintaining quality
- Oversee production output, product quality, and on-time shipping
- Allocate resources effectively and utilize assets to produce optimal results
- Implement strategies aligned with senior management’s manufacturing initiatives
- Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions as needed
- Collect and analyze data to identify waste or overtime opportunities
- Develop systems and processes to track and optimize productivity, standards, metrics, and ROA
- Stay up to date with production management best practices
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality guidelines
- Hire, train, and supervise manufacturing team members
- Manage budgets and costs associated with manufacturing processes
- Resolve issues and disputes among manufacturing team members
- Implement improvements to manufacturing processes and procedures
- Prepare and present reports on manufacturing operations and progress to senior management
- Proven work experience as a manufacturing manager or similar role
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and industry standards
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Good knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Understanding of quality standards and systems
- Experience with budget and business plan development
- BS degree in Business Management, Engineering or relevant field
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally
- Managing in a union environment is a plus
