The General Manager oversees all aspects of Casey Concrete’s precast division, ensuring efficient production, pipeline of future work, quality control, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction. The GM is responsible for working with existing managers; sales, production and estimating to utilize resources to the greatest benefit of the company. The GM will be responsible for knowing what work is in the factory, which employees are working on various projects, and how we are working with the customer on each project.

The GM will work within budgets to achieve production targets and other business objectives detailed in cooperation with senior management.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist in the development of production plans and schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing plant efficiency and resource utilization.
  • Ensure that production targets are met while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Provide direction to plant staff, including supervisors, operators, and drivers etc.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Implement safety protocols, conduct regular inspections, and promote a culture of safety awareness among employees.
  • Oversee quality control processes to ensure that products meet or exceed customer specifications and industry standards.
  • Implement quality management systems and address any issues or deviations promptly.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities to ensure the reliability and uptime of plant equipment and machinery.
  • Assist in the development of preventive maintenance programs, troubleshoot equipment issues, and schedule repairs or upgrades as needed.
  • Manage inventory levels of raw materials, finished products, and supplies to support production requirements while minimizing costs and waste.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
  • Assist in managing the plant's operating budget, including expenses related to labor, materials, maintenance, and utilities.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements to optimize plant profitability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.
  • Assist and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles, process optimization strategies, and performance metrics to drive operational excellence.
  • Prepare regular reports and performance metrics to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production output, quality metrics, safety incidents, and financial performance.
  • Analyze data and trends to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.
  • Assist in the development and execution of strategic plans and objectives for the plant in alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Set clear performance targets, monitor progress, and adjust strategies as needed to drive long-term success.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications preferred, and/or 5-10 years of related experience.
  • Proven experience in plant management or senior leadership roles within the construction materials industry.
  • Demonstrated success in driving operational efficiency, achieving production targets, and managing large-scale projects.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and ERP software; familiarity with concrete batching systems and industrial automation technologies.

Preferred Experience:

Must Have’s:

  • 5 years in a related position.

Preferred:

  • Previous Precast Experience

Pay: $100, 000 +
