Lathe Machinist
Join Essex Industries and contribute to high‑quality parts and services since 1947.
Responsibilities- Write, create, and test CNC programs.
- Ensure produced CNC programs are optimized.
- Make adjustments to adhere to established specifications or revisions.
- Monitor machining times and recommend new techniques to improve process efficiency.
- Maintain jigs and fixtures.
- Keep machinery and work area clean, safe, and organized.
- Reduce waste, minimize scrap, use labor efficiently, and account for all parts on jobs.
- Improve product throughput through additional operations such as multiple machine operations, deburring, and cleaning when possible.
- Assist in other areas to meet production needs of Essex and its customers.
- Comply with all PPE and machine guarding requirements for each job.
5‑7 years of machine shop experience and a 2‑year trade school completion; or equivalent demonstrated proficiency.
