Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Aerospace Supplier Quality Liaison (Designated Quality Representative)
About the Role As our Designated Quality Representative (DQR), you are the quality ambassador for assigned aerospace customers. You’ll ensure our parts, inspections, documentation, and production processes align with customer requirements, engineering drawings, specifications, purchase orders, and aerospace quality standards.

A Day in the Life You start by confirming today’s inspection priorities: a first-piece release on a new part number, several in-process checks on the production floor, and a final review of a shipment heading to a major aerospace customer. You verify features using CMMs, vision systems, micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision tools, and you collaborate closely with Quality, Engineering, and Production to quickly resolve documentation or dimensional questions.

Mid-morning, you’re preparing and validating First Article Inspection Reports (FAI/FAIR) to AS9102, reviewing material and special-process certifications, test reports, inspection records, and Certificates of Conformance for accuracy and traceability. After lunch, you coordinate a customer source inspection, confirm that special processes were performed by approved suppliers, and support Nadcap-related compliance. Before day’s end, you document and disposition a nonconformance through MRB, contribute to a root-cause and corrective action, and ensure all required inspection and quality documentation is complete before shipment.

What You’ll DoAct as the primary Quality point of contact for assigned aerospace customers; communicate directly with customer quality representatives.

Interpret and implement customer purchase orders, drawings, specifications, quality clauses, and related requirements.

Perform/support first-piece, in-process, final, receiving, source, and First Article inspections.

Verify conformity with CMMs, vision systems, micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision metrology.

Prepare, review, and coordinate FAI/FAIR packages in accordance with AS9102 and customer-specific expectations.

Review material and special-process certifications, test reports, inspection records, and Certificates of Conformance for completeness and traceability.

Ensure inspection and quality documentation is accurate and finalized prior to shipment.

Identify and document nonconforming product; support MRB activities, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and customer responses.

Coordinate customer source inspections, audits, quality visits, and FAIR submissions.

Confirm special processes are performed by approved sources; support compliance with customer and Nadcap requirements.

Stay current on customer-specific requirements and revisions to drawings, specifications, and quality clauses.

Drive continuous improvement to reduce scrap, rework, customer complaints, and inspection-related delays.

Provide inspection guidance and on-the-job training for inspectors and production personnel.

What You’ll Bring High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or related aerospace/manufacturing education preferred.
3–5 years in aerospace manufacturing, quality, inspection, or a related discipline.

Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications with strong GD&T fluency.

Hands-on experience with precision measuring and inspection equipment.

Proficiency with FAI/FAIR and AS9102 requirements.

Experience reviewing material and special-process certifications.

Working knowledge of AS9100 and aerospace quality systems.

Exceptional attention to detail, documentation accuracy, communication, and organization.

Comfort partnering with customers, Engineering, Production, Quality, and management.

Preferred Qualifications Background as a DQR, Source Inspector, Customer Quality Representative, or Aerospace Quality Inspector.
