Position: Retail Keyholder (Store 4070)

As a Retail Keyholder, you will assist management in executing and supervising all store activities, ensuring a sales environment that reflects Game Stop’s Circle of Life buying, selling, trading, and reservation model.

Job Duties And Responsibilities
  • Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests, respond promptly to questions and concerns, assist with gaming needs, inform guests about promotions and the trade‑in program, recommend additional items, and express gratitude.
  • Support the overall shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, and nurture relationships that lead to sales and repeat business.
  • Process guest purchases and returns accurately via the POS computer system.
  • Address guest comments or questions in person or on the phone, answering calls promptly and courteously.
  • Promote Game Stop’s guest benefits such as title reservations and the Pro Rewards loyalty program.
  • Ensure all store areas, including restrooms, are clean, organized, and merchandised according to company guidelines and maintain fixtures and equipment in working order.
  • Complete omni‑channel orders daily.
  • Safeguard company assets through inventory control and loss prevention practices, including scam awareness, safety best practices, and bank deposits as required.
  • Conduct inventory counts, restock merchandise on shelves and fixtures, and move products from the stock room to the front of the store.
  • Support store management in meeting and exceeding sales, profit, and shrink goals and complete required administrative and operational duties.
  • Count, balance, and reconcile daily business transaction totals accurately in the POS system; complete closeout paperwork and bank deposit slips.
  • Check shipments for discrepancies and record any discrepancies in the POS system; report to appropriate managers.
  • Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls accurately and promptly, ensuring proper labeling and packing lists.
  • Visually inspect associates’ and leaders’ packages at closing or end of shift.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates when management is absent.
  • Consistently adhere to Game Stop policies and procedures, including the Associate Handbook and Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct.
  • Follow all opening and closing procedures.
  • Observe associate performance and provide timely and appropriate feedback to store management.
Qualifications
  • Proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States.
  • At least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience (preferred).
  • Video game knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to work alone, stand, and move throughout the store unassisted for up to 10 hours per day.

  • Physical ability to bend, stoop, reach, climb ladders, and lift merchandise up to 30 lbs.
  • Stand and move throughout the store unassisted for up to 10 hours per day.
