Summary

We are looking for a Technical Sales Representative or Engineer who will play a pivotal role in our sales team's success. (“Engineer” title will be given with an Engineering degree, otherwise “Representative” title will be used). You will collaborate closely with our sales team to drive revenue growth, exceed sales targets, and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. This position requires a technical understanding of HVAC products and systems, effectively managing your time, and excellent communication skills.

Essential

Functions
  • Generate selections and customer quotes for all the products that we represent, including but not limited to RGDs, VAVs, Fans, and Mechanical Equipment
  • Download drawings, specifications, schedules, and details
  • Perform accurate “take-offs” electronically using Planswift
  • Process stock and factory orders for customers
  • Answer phone calls and email requests from clients relating to quotations, order processing, order tracking, freight claims, product availability, field service, and warranties
  • Follow established sales processes and procedures at Buckley
  • Maintain knowledge of HVAC fundamentals and product lines
  • Maintain a working understanding of all the products on our line card by consistently participating in factory and Buckley technical training offerings
  • Fulfill customer product and service needs by utilizing product knowledge and soliciting help from other team members and other internal resources
  • Demonstrate ability to multitask
  • Effective organizational skills with attention to detail
  • General understanding and knowledge of selling principles
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
  • Energetic and effective salesperson with a positive attitude that is conscientious, enthusiastic, articulate, and possesses a professional attitude to handle a fast-paced work environment
  • Perform quality work and meet deadlines without direct supervision
  • Interact professionally with other employees, customers, and suppliers
  • Work effectively as a team member
  • Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations

Required

Education and Experience
  • A degree in engineering is preferred but not required. Five or more years of relevant experience may suffice in lieu of a degree.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook
