Reporting to the Project Manager, this person serves as the team's daily field presence, helping keep sites safe, secure, organized, and ready for scheduled work.

The Site Supervisor confirms subcontractor attendance, communicates daily work expectations, monitors progress and workmanship, and documents what happens on site. This role requires practical construction knowledge, clear communication, and the judgment to recognize concerns and involve the Project Manager. The Project Manager provides oversight and retains responsibility for the overall schedule, budget, scope changes, and major project decisions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Site Oversight and Safety

  • Visit assigned jobsites daily and check for safety hazards, security concerns, leaks, damage, and other conditions that could affect the work or the customer's home.
  • Maintain housekeeping, dust and floor protection, safe access, and orderly material storage.
  • Coordinate parking, dumpsters, and deliveries with the Project Manager, and open or secure sites as needed.
  • Address immediate hazards promptly and notify the Project Manager of concerns.

2. Subcontractor Coordination and Work Monitoring

  • Confirm that scheduled subcontractors are on site and prepared to work.
  • Review daily priorities, approved scope, drawings, and material locations with crews under the Project Manager's direction.
  • Monitor progress and workmanship, coordinate shared work areas, and identify missing work, incorrect installations, or upcoming conflicts.
  • Report no-shows, delays, and questions promptly, and follow through on corrections with the Project Manager's assistance.

3. Daily Documentation and Project Manager Updates

  • Complete accurate daily logs in Job Tread and upload clearly labeled jobsite photos each day.
  • Record site conditions, subcontractors and crew sizes, work completed, deliveries and returns, delays, customer concerns, and outstanding issues.
  • Maintain current task and punch lists and accurate time records.
  • Keep the Project Manager informed of progress, problems, decisions needed, and follow-up items, escalating urgent concerns immediately.

4. Site Readiness and Field Support

  • Work with the Project Manager to anticipate upcoming work and confirm that materials, access, protection, and necessary preparation are in place before trades arrive.
  • Check deliveries for accuracy and damage, identify shortages early, and verify that crews use the correct materials.
  • Assist with site preparation, material handling, minor repairs, light carpentry, and punch-list tasks as assigned.
  • Help prepare projects for inspections, final walkthroughs, and completion.

5. Customer Care and Team Communication

  • Treat customers, their homes, and their daily routines with care and respect.
  • Communicate routine daily site activities as coordinated with the Project Manager, listen to questions and concerns, and relay issues promptly.
  • Maintain professional relationships with subcontractors and coworkers, clarify instructions when needed, and refer requests affecting scope, cost, or schedule to the Project Manager.
  • Share observations that can improve site operations and future projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Practical knowledge of residential construction methods, materials, and the sequence of work.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and communicate daily work expectations to subcontractors.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through across multiple jobsites and changing priorities.
  • Professional communication skills and the ability to work independently under a Project Manager's direction.
  • Comfort using a smartphone or tablet for photos, daily logs, and task tracking, with willingness to learn Job Tread and company documentation tools.
