Family Medicine Physician - Primary Care
Join the Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center to provide high quality patient care within a patient‑centered medical home (PCMH) model. The Family Physician will manage a diverse panel of patients, treat acute and chronic conditions, and collaborate with our multidisciplinary team.
SummaryThe Family Physician will lead patient care, manage chronic diseases, treat acute conditions across the lifespan, and perform reproductive and pregnancy health procedures. The role includes participation in after‑hour and weekend call rotations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Provides medical care to patients with acute problems, chronic illnesses, or preventive health services.
- Examines patients, formulates diagnostic plans, orders and interprets testing, and implements treatment plans.
- Performs reproductive/pregnancy health procedures such as IUD and Nexplanon insertions, cervical exams, and prenatal care.
- Consults with specialists and assists in their care; participates in procedures as trained.
- Prescribes medications and assesses effectiveness for patients’ conditions.
- Meets the Health Center’s annual productivity goal.
- Maintains and updates Electronic Health Records (EHR) within 48 hours of encounters.
- Participates in after‑hours and weekend call on a rotating basis per the Medical Director’s schedule.
- Annual salary of $210,000–$230,000 (subject to experience, licensure or certification, and location).
- Graduate of an accredited medical school (M.D. or D.O.).
- Licensed to practice medicine by the MA Board of Registration.
- Completed a Family Medicine Residency program.
- Board Certified in Family Medicine (ABMS Board) within one year of residency completion, or Board Eligible with eligibility letter.
- $210,000–$230,000 per year.
- Generous time‑off package: 4 weeks paid vacation, 11 paid holidays, 3 personal days, 5 sick days, and 3 extended sick days.
- 32 hours clinical and 8 hours administrative time that can be completed remotely.
- Qualifies for Federal and State Loan Repayment Programs.
