Controller; Plant

Position: Controller (Plant)
We are looking for an experienced Plant Controller to provide financial leadership within a dynamic manufacturing environment in Franklin, Massachusetts. This role partners closely with plant and operations leaders to translate production activity into clear financial insight, strengthen decision-making, and support stronger business performance. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in manufacturing finance along with a practical, collaborative approach to improving cost, efficiency, and profitability.

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with plant leadership and cross-functional partners to align financial goals with operational priorities and support overall site performance.
• Direct product costing activities, including standard cost development, cost modeling, and detailed analysis of variances across labor, materials, and overhead.
• Monitor key manufacturing drivers such as scrap, yield, downtime, and production efficiency to identify trends and recommend performance improvements.
• Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and month-end review process, delivering accurate reporting and meaningful analysis of financial and operational results.
• Assess capital spending proposals by analyzing return on investment, cash flow impact, and capacity considerations to support sound business decisions.
• Maintain strong inventory accounting practices through reconciliations, reporting accuracy, and consistent application of financial controls and accounting policies.
• Provide visible leadership to the plant finance team by setting expectations, developing talent, and encouraging accountability and continuous improvement.
• Partner with operations to uncover cost reduction opportunities and improve productivity, profitability, and manufacturing competitiveness.
