Designs, implements, and supports the process of delivering education and training to hospital personnel.

Major Responsibilities
  • Design educational experiences using adult learning principles and multiple teaching methodologies.
  • Maintain documentation and reporting systems for all educational activities.
  • Assist staff and management in orientation and staff development to establish and maintain competency.
  • Identify learning needs and plan activities to address them, including remediation.
  • Plan and evaluate programs in response to healthcare trends, organizational goals, and regulatory requirements.
Position Qualifications

License/Certification/

Education:

  • Required: BS/BSN
  • Required: Current RN license in Massachusetts
  • Required: Current CPR certification
  • Preferred: MS/MSN in Education
  • Preferred: Certification in a related specialty
  • Preferred: BLS, ACLS, and PALS Instructor ships (may be required depending on department needs)

Experience/

Skills:

  • Required: Minimum 3 years of Medical/Surgical experience
  • Preferred: Classroom teaching experience
  • Preferred: Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions

Work is primarily sedentary and performed indoors in a clinical or educational setting.

  • Frequently:
    Sitting, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, repetitive movements, precise motor skills, hearing, and vision
