Designs, implements, and supports the process of delivering education and training to hospital personnel.
Major Responsibilities- Design educational experiences using adult learning principles and multiple teaching methodologies.
- Maintain documentation and reporting systems for all educational activities.
- Assist staff and management in orientation and staff development to establish and maintain competency.
- Identify learning needs and plan activities to address them, including remediation.
- Plan and evaluate programs in response to healthcare trends, organizational goals, and regulatory requirements.
License/Certification/
Education:
- Required: BS/BSN
- Required: Current RN license in Massachusetts
- Required: Current CPR certification
- Preferred: MS/MSN in Education
- Preferred: Certification in a related specialty
- Preferred: BLS, ACLS, and PALS Instructor ships (may be required depending on department needs)
Experience/
Skills:
- Required: Minimum 3 years of Medical/Surgical experience
- Preferred: Classroom teaching experience
- Preferred: Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Work is primarily sedentary and performed indoors in a clinical or educational setting.
