Technical Architect Salary

$110,000 – $146,500 per annum

In this role, you will lead the architecture and technical strategy for Waters’ global B2B digital commerce ecosystem. You will define and deliver end‑to‑end commerce solutions that seamlessly integrate SAP Commerce Cloud, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), SAP S/4

HANA, and search platforms
, enabling secure, scalable, and intelligent customer experiences across channels.

This is a highly strategic and hands‑on architecture role where you will drive architectural simplification, scalability, and innovation across Waters’ multi‑country digital landscape. You will collaborate closely with global engineering, product, business, infrastructure, and Dev Ops teams to design high‑performing, resilient, and future‑ready digital commerce solutions.

• Lead the technical and architectural strategy for Waters’ B2B eCommerce ecosystem, integrating SAP Commerce Cloud, AEM, and S/4
  
  HANA.
• Architect end‑to‑end digital commerce solutions connecting front‑end, middleware, and ERP systems, ensuring performance, reliability, and real‑time data synchronization.
• Define scalable integration patterns, API frameworks, and architectural standards across global platforms.
• Promote modern engineering practices including API‑first design, headless commerce, composable architecture, microservices, and CI/CD.
• Review and validate solution designs and implementations for alignment with security, performance, and architecture principles.
• Provide architectural leadership, guidance, and mentorship to global development teams.
• Collaborate with product, digital, infrastructure, and Dev Ops teams to deliver unified, customer‑centric digital experiences.
• Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies such as AI, personalization, and advanced search.
• Contribute to long‑term digital architecture strategy through simplification and continuous improvement.

• 8+ years of experience designing and leading B2B digital and eCommerce architectures.
• Deep expertise in SAP Commerce (Hybris), AEM or other CMS platforms, and modern UI frameworks.
• Strong experience with React, Angular, or Vue.js and headless CMS integration.
• Proven ERP integration experience with SAP S/4
  
  HANA.
• Strong knowledge of API‑first integration, REST, Graph
  
  QL, and microservices.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS or Azure and Dev Ops tool chains (CI/CD, Terraform, Git Hub Actions, Jenkins).
• Experience leading large‑scale global digital initiatives.
• Agile delivery experience and strong stakeholder communication skills.
