Lead the future of digital commerce at a global scientific leader. You’ll be the architect who defines, designs, and implements the next‑generation customer experience integrating SAP Commerce Cloud, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), SAP S/4

HANA, and search platforms. This role combines hands‑on design with enterprise‑wide leadership, driving architectural simplification, scalability, and innovation across Waters’ digital ecosystem.

• Lead the technical strategy for Waters’ B2B eCommerce ecosystem—integrating SAP Commerce Cloud, AEM, and S/4
  
  HANA to deliver secure, scalable, and seamless customer experiences.
• Architect end‑to‑end commerce solutions that connect front‑end, middleware, and ERP systems, ensuring high performance, reliability, and real‑time data synchronization.
• Drive innovation through modern engineering practices including API‑first design, headless commerce, and composable architecture.
• Provide architectural guidance and mentorship to global development teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
• Collaborate across disciplines—from digital product to infrastructure and Dev Ops—to enable unified, customer‑centric digital experiences.

• Technical Leadership
• Provide technical leadership for end‑to‑end digital commerce architecture across SAP Commerce Cloud, AEM, and S/4
  
  HANA.
• Define scalable integration patterns and API frameworks connecting commerce, ERP, and supporting systems to ensure reliable data flow and performance.
• Review solution designs and implementations for alignment with architecture principles, security, and performance standards.
• Promote modern engineering practices including API‑first, headless commerce, microservices, and CI/CD.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and Dev Ops teams to maintain secure, resilient, and scalable digital platforms.
• Architecture
• Develop and maintain the overall architecture blueprint for Waters’ B2B eCommerce ecosystem, aligning it with enterprise standards and digital strategy.
• Design and validate integration approaches across SAP Commerce Cloud, AEM, and S/4
  
  HANA to ensure consistent data, security, and performance.
• Evaluate technical options, document architectural decisions, and drive adoption of best practices for maintainability and scalability.
• Ensure architectural integrity and traceability across multiple systems, applications, and interfaces.
• Leadership & Strategy
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to define architecture standards that enable scalability, efficiency, and growth.
• Evaluate emerging technologies such as AI, personalization, and advanced search to enhance customer experience and digital capability.
• Contribute to long‑term digital architecture strategy through simplification, reusability, and continuous improvement.

• Over 10 years of experience designing and leading B2B digital and eCommerce architectures, with deep expertise in SAP Commerce (Hybris), content management systems (AEM and other CMS platforms), modern UI frameworks, and API‑first integration across global platforms.
• Proven expertise in React, Angular, or Vue.js, along with responsive design, component libraries, and headless CMS integration (AEM, etc.).
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), including infrastructure, security, and Dev Ops tool chains (CI/CD, Terraform, Git Hub Actions, Jenkins).
• Deep understanding of API design and integration, RESTful standards, Graph
  
  QL, and microservices architecture.
• Solid background integrating SAP Commerce Cloud with SAP S/4
  
  HANA or ERP systems, including data, pricing, and order workflows.
• Experience leading global digital initiatives across eCommerce, EDI, and web applications, ensuring architectural scalability and performance.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and cross‑functional team leadership.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to bridge technical and business discussions.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a track record of delivering complex digital programs on time.
