Overview

Waters corporation is seeking a self-motivated Electronics Technician to join the Electrical Research & Development group. The job involves testing circuit boards, making cables, rework circuit boards, among other technical expertise. This job also requires troubleshooting to the component level.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with engineers and other professionals on technical tasks.
  • Test PCB's following test procedures.
  • Rework PCB’s that require desoldering and soldering SMD components.
  • Assemble cables.
  • Prototype electronics circuits.
  • Record data with equipment such as a DVM, Oscilloscopes, and other electrical measuring/monitoring devices.
  • Help in managing equipment calibration.
Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Vocational High School or technical degree is preferred.
    • Knowledge of electronic components and circuits.

  • Experience:
    • One to three years of experience as an electronic technician or a similar role
    • Experience using hand tools and lab equipment.
    • proficient in soldering including working with fine pitch components.
    • Familiar with IPC
      610 and IPC
      620 standards is a plus.
    • Good verbal and written communication.
